SCCM’s Critical Care Congress highlights extraordinary advances being made in the treatment of critically ill and injured patients.
The 2025 Critical Care Congress kicked off with the Opening Session on Sunday, February 23. The Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) 2024 President Lauren Sorce, PhD, RN, CPNP-AC/PC, FAAN, FCCM, passed the torch to SCCM’s 2025 President Jose L. Pascual, MD, PhD, FRCS(C), FACS, FCCM. Highlights included updates on SCCM’s continuing humanitarian efforts, SCCM’s new ICU Centers of Excellence program, and recognition of the 2025 ICU Heroes and the Lifetime Achievement Award recipients.
