Primary Care Medicine: Principles & Practice 2025 is UCSF’s most comprehensive and up-to-date course in outpatient medicine. Primary care remains the essential foundation of modern medical practice, requiring clinicians to make increasingly complex management decisions in diverse ambulatory settings and via telemedicine. This course addresses preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk reduction, chronic disease management, women’s health, geriatrics, behavioral medicine, and much more. Effective practice in primary care today requires mastery of new diagnostic tools, integration of emerging medications, and a focus on quality, safety, and equity for vulnerable populations. Participants will gain the latest updates, strategies, and skills to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, and value-driven care in everyday clinical settings.
