About the Cleveland Clinic 24th Annual Pain Management Symposium 2025

The Cleveland Clinic Department of Pain Management is proud to present the 24th Annual Pain Management Symposium, held February 15–19, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel, Orlando, Florida. This five-day event delivers a comprehensive update on the latest advances in pain medicine, covering both interventional and non-interventional approaches.

The course is designed to enhance understanding of the pathophysiology of acute and chronic pain, critically review evolving therapies, and provide practical strategies for diagnosis and management. Renowned faculty will lead evidence-based discussions and offer practical insights for clinical practice.

Optional hands-on cadaver and ultrasound workshops will also be available for participants seeking to develop technical skills in interventional pain procedures.

* Date of Original Release: April 15, 2025

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Review current evidence-based guidelines for cervical spine procedures, infection control, and corticosteroid use and describe their application to pain management practices.
  • Examine the impact of private equity, preauthorization, advocacy, and unethical behavior on the practice of pain medicine.
  • Assess the efficacy and adverse effects of emerging therapies for pain and describe their potential use in clinical practice.
  • Compare and contrast the choice of neuromodulation techniques and devices as they apply to specific patient diagnoses.
  • Analyze clinical issues arising with expanded marijuana use and their impact on acute and chronic pain management.
  • Evaluate current evidence, application, and regulatory issues associated with the use of PRP and stem cells.
  • Analyze factors and diagnoses contributing to persistent spinal pain syndromes.
  • Describe options for evaluation and treatment of pain in special populations.
  • Demonstrate technical skills needed to perform interventional pain procedures using ultrasound and fluoroscopy imaging.
