UCSF Radiology On-Call Imaging 2025
Radiology CME: Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Imaging is an expertly curated online video CME program developed for practicing radiologists with general on-call responsibilities and those seeking to enhance their proficiency in acute imaging interpretation. Led by distinguished UCSF faculty, this course provides a comprehensive approach to both traumatic and non-traumatic conditions across multiple organ systems.
Through detailed case-based video lectures, image-rich demonstrations, and expert commentary, participants will gain confidence in identifying and evaluating critical imaging findings in real-world on-call scenarios. This program delivers practical, high-yield education to refine diagnostic accuracy and decision-making under pressure.
Learners will explore urgent and emergent imaging presentations across thoracic, neuro, musculoskeletal, and abdominal systems, including both traumatic and non-traumatic etiologies. Emphasis is placed on timely diagnosis, appropriate imaging modality selection, and evidence-based management recommendations for acute care settings.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Confidently analyze traumatic and non-traumatic acute imaging of multiple organ systems
- Identify and characterize urgent thoracic presentations, including acute aortic syndromes, pulmonary emboli, acute lung diseases, and incidentalomas
- Recognize and interpret urgent neuro presentations, including spinal and inflammatory conditions, intracranial infections, headache, and facial symptoms
- Evaluate urgent musculoskeletal presentations of the major joints and MSK infection
- Identify and recommend treatment for various urgent conditions of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and obstetric-gynecologic systems using Ultrasound and CT/MRI
